2. Data we collect

We collect only the data required to deliver the service:

• Account data: name, email and encrypted password.
• Purchase data: books acquired, date and payment method (handled by Stripe; we do not store card numbers).
• Technical data: IP address, browser type and access logs needed for service security.

3. Purposes

We use your data for the following purposes:

• Process purchases and deliver the digital books acquired.
• Manage your account and personal library.
• Comply with legal, accounting and tax obligations.
• Handle enquiries and customer support.

4. Legal basis

Performance of the purchase contract (art. 6.1.b GDPR), compliance with legal obligations (art. 6.1.c), and user consent where applicable (art. 6.1.a).

5. Retention

We keep your data while your account is active and, afterwards, for the applicable statutory periods (minimum 10 years for accounting and tax records).

6. Recipients

We only share data with providers required to run the service: Stripe (payments), hosting provider and transactional email services. All comply with the GDPR.

7. Your rights

You may exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction and portability at any time by writing to our contact email. You may also lodge a complaint with the Portuguese data protection authority (CNPD).

8. Security

We apply technical and organisational measures to protect your data: encryption in transit (HTTPS), role-based access control, backups and activity logging.
